There was such a relaxed vibe in the air when we arrived to capture Rose and her bridal party getting ready. This time of the day sets up how things are going to flow for us, and with so much love in the room, the shots of the girls were just fun to capture from start to finish.
We can’t thank the girls enough for making us feel so welcome, and letting us get all of the photographs in such a small amount of time.
Once we had got a few shots of Alex and his groomsmen at Milton Church, we ushered them inside and got ready for the bridal parties arrival.
Rose arrived at the church in style in a vintage camper van provided by Vintage VW Camper Co, a perfect wedding vehicle for the perfect bride, Alex was going to be thrilled.
We do love a good church ceremony, especially when the church has lot’s of natural light and space for us to work.
We are always very respectful during a church service, as photographers have got a bad reputation over the years for moving around and being distracting. It is very important for us to work with the vicar and make sure that this part of the day is remembered for the right reasons and also perfectly captured for the couple to remember for years to come.
If we have the time and opportunity we love to pop back in to the church with the bride and groom while the ushers are setting up a confetti shot and get some emotive images with any stain glass windows or architecture.
Back at The Old Hall Ely and we had time to get some great shots of the happy couple with the camper van in front of the venue.
The weather was perfect which always helps as it puts a smile on the faces of an already happy couple, and when they are happy and smiling couples are always keen for us to get an extra few shots whilst waiting for the guests to arrive.
Once the bride and groom have had time to relax and greet their guests, and we’ve got the dreaded group shots out of the way (though we are good at these and it’s pretty painless), we like to send the couple off for a quite walk, which always gives us the opportunity to get some more intimate and artistic couples shots.
A huge thank you to all the suppliers that helped make Rose and Alex’s day so special
